Program Description:
Of course by purifying negative karma collected since beginningless rebirths and by collecting extensive merits,
this allows you to have realizations on the path to enlightenment and for your mind to change.
~Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Tse Chen Ling is honored to welcome back Geshe Thubten Sherab for a four-class series!
June 22 and 29 - Merit:
Merit, the positive imprints left on the mind by virtuous actions, is considered one of the principal causes of happiness. In these sessions, Geshe Sherab will explain the concept of merit, how to create it, and how accumulating merit is an essential component for the attainment of Buddhahood.
July 6 and 13 - Purification:
Purification can counteract negative thoughts and actions from our body, speech, and mind. In these sessions, we’ll explore the role of purification and examine practices that have the power to purify the obscurations and negative karma that prevent us from actualizing the path.
About Geshe Thubten Sherab:
Geshe Sherab was born in Manang, Nepal in 1967. He attended Kopan monastery at the age of 9 in around 1976/1977 and was ordained by Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
