Here is a brief summary of the wonderful events of the year:
- Incredible teachings by our most precious and dear, Geshe Ngawang Dakpa, resident teacher emeritus
- Hosting our most esteemed part-time Resident Teacher, Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Jampa
- Online programs with Geshe Thubten Jinpa, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Tashi Tsering, Ven. Robina Courtin, and a host of other remarkable teachers
- High quality interpretation by Ven. Steve Carlier
- Insightful ongoing programs such as Discovering Buddhism, Taste of Buddhism, Weekly meditations, and the FPMT Basic Program
- Celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Birthday
- A variety of online practices and rituals for healing and longevity, especially Medicine Buddha, Cittamani Tara, Guru Pujas/Tsogs and celebrations on the 4 Buddha Days.

Now our Spiritual Program Team is well in the midst of planning another wonderful year of some of the highest caliber programs you can enjoy. In fact, due to the professional level of our programs, people from all over the world are now frequent participants and have made Tse Chen Ling a favorite on their online listings!
Rejoice! Our Spiritual Director, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, says this is the easiest way to accumulate merit or positive energy. And it’s this attitude of positivity, along with generosity and gratitude, that keeps Tse Chen Ling Center thriving.
We are now exploring developing and better supporting our volunteer base such as our Spiritual Program Team. By offering a small stipend for a part-time Spiritual Program Coordinator, we will be able to support a consistent position to manage all of the essential responsibilities in this key area. As our Program has been the strength of the center, we feel this is an optimum investment in our future. In addition, consistent support for this position will free me up to focus on the larger visioning and support needed for the long-term health of Tse Chen Ling.
Now I know it’s quite exciting to contribute to the purchase of a new statue or to support our wonderful Lamas. When you visit Tse Chen Ling, you can feel good that you had a share in these important projects. For the Center to function sustainably, however, it needs to start developing a paid staff, while continuing to cover insurance, maintenance of the building and grounds, administrative support, and offerings and other support for teachers, interpreters, and attendants, along with mortgage payments, just to name a few of these costs.
So let’s keep the mutual support flowing.
We have learned through a variety of teachings that the cause of sound financial stability is generosity. We are practicing to cultivate generous hearts and minds in order to create financial self-sufficiency for Tse Chen Ling. So Tse Chen Ling participates each year in community service opportunities and offers financial donations each year to support the Sangha, and projects and programs we feel are important. We hope that this is as important to you as it is to us.
