Getting the Mind in Sync as a Path to Peace
with Venerable Amy Miller
Facebook LIVE, Sunday, September 27th
10:30 AM-12:00 PM PDT (US Time)
When we refuse to accept negatives aspects of ourselves, we become rigid with others and many of life’s experiences. By turning toward this discomfort with curiosity, we can find realistic ways to open our hearts to our being human and begin the process of forgiving ourselves for the mistakes we make. The more natural flow that arises from this unhinging helps us explore our pain and anger toward others we don’t like. By considering their human nature as well, we can find more peaceful ways of dismantling their negative hold on us and release us from this cycle of suffering.
Ven. Amy will introduce a path of acceptance and forgiveness and include practical meditation and exercises that
can direct the mind in more positive ways.
About the Presenter:
Venerable Amy Miller has been teaching extensively since 1992 and was ordained as a Buddhist nun in June 2000 by the great Tibetan master, Venerable Choden Rinpoche. She has previously directed several FPMT centers and projects for decades and has completed a seven-month solitary retreat. Her teaching style emphasizes a practical approach to integrating Buddhist philosophy into everyday life. She is happy to help people connect with meditation and mindfulness in an effort to gain a refreshing perspective on normally stressful living. Venerable teaches and leads retreats and pilgrimages around the world. Amy is the co-author of Buddhism in a Nutshell - and a contributor to Living in the Path, a series of online courses produced by FPMT. Her teaching schedule and other information can be found at www.AmyMiller.com.
This Program will be presented free of charge via Facebook LIVE on Tse Chen Ling's Facebook Page. Your generous donations are essential for the continuation of programs like this.
