Discovering Buddhism: Establishing A Daily Practice

7-9pm on Zoom


In order to make greater progress along the spiritual path, it is useful to begin a daily practice at home, at whatever level is realistic in your life. In this class, we will learn how to establish a daily practice that is balanced and is practical for you.

This course will include the following topics:
-How to set up an altar.
-The various elements of a balanced practice.
-An introduction to the Preliminary Practices and why they are helpful.
-Why purification and accumulation of merit are important.
-How to turn everyday activities into the path.

Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is a Dharma Center dedicated to cultivating compassion and wisdom. Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we provide teachings and practices in the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer meditation and a wide-range of Buddhist and secular programs as well as other basic life improvement classes. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco.
