Lhabab Duchen

​Lhabab Duchen, one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar, takes place this year on Friday, November 22.

Lhabab Duchen celebrates when Lord Buddha actually descended from the God Realm of Thirty-Three after teaching his mother and the gods living there Dharma for several months. As a multiplying day, karmic results of actions on this day are multiplied 100 million times (see more here).

On this auspicious day, Tse Chen Ling will providing a number of activities in which all are welcome to accumulate benefit for all sentient beings.

​Schedule:
  • Sunrise: Eight Mahayana Precepts - At home practice
  • 9am - 10:15am:  Sutra Reading and Prayers (Stay for the whole session or any part of it.)
    • In-person and on Zoom
  • 11am: Animal Blessing with Geshe Dakpa 
    • ​Zoom only
    • Geshe-la will give a short talk (translation by Ven. Steve) followed by blessings with special mantras
    • Gather your pets near the screen so they can hear the audio and receive blessings

Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is a Dharma Center dedicated to cultivating compassion and wisdom. Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we provide teachings and practices in the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer meditation and a wide-range of Buddhist and secular programs as well as other basic life improvement classes. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco.
