Losar Membership/Fundraising Drive

February 9 – 23, 2016
“Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, people cannot live without a spiritual life”
— Shakyamuni Buddha
Losar Membership Drive
Losar Merit Making Opportunity
  • Losar (Tibetan New Year) begins the Year of the Fire Monkey 2143 and Buddha’s 15 Days of Miracles.
  • During these 15 days (February 9 – 23), the merit of our virtuous actions and offerings is multiplied one hundred million times!

Why Become a Member, Upgrade or Donate?
  • It is a Dharma practice opportunity – the first paramita of Generosity.
  • You are Ocean of Compassion. The Class Donations alone cover only 34% of the expenses required to operate – so we need donations to pay the remaining 66% of expenses!
  • So that we can continue and enhance our programs to help you deal with stress and difficult emotions, find greater peace, happiness and meaning in your life, expand the heart and increase wisdom, as well as attain better physical health.
  • Your membership donations keep us open.
  • We are 100% Volunteer run organization with only teachers given modest offerings, so your donations are efficiently utilized.
Your donations during Losar will be matched up to $3,000, by a generous donor.
Our Goals
  • Generate at least 20 new or upgraded members to operate the center.
  • With the funds, we will also expand our offerings by:
    • Increasing offerings for our teachers
    • Inviting more teachers for a broader range of programs in psychology, family-related topics/events to advanced Dharma topics.
    • Improving our technology resources for greater outreach & offering remote Dharma teachings.

How Can You Help?
  • Donate by February 23rd
  • Especially consider becoming a monthly member. Even at the lowest level, $30/month, that is only $7.50/week to support Dharma to flourish and to benefit many beings!
  • One time Special Losar offer – if you sign up for or upgrade membership during this period, you will get a cute, FREE “got compassion?” t-shirt!
DONATE TODAY — First $3,000 raised is MATCHED by generous donor!
