Kanchan Thakar is a licensed physical therapist since 30 years. She likes to integrate restorative yoga in her practice for personal wellness and also for those who need help with mobility and pain issues. Recently, during the pursuit of expanding her horizons, she studied with world renowned restorative Yoga teacher Judith Lasater and got a certification for teaching Restorative yoga.

After years of practicing in outpatient clinics, Kanchan has developed this integrative movement class, to provide an affordable wellness resource in the community. The intention is to provide guidance for a wellness experience in the present for a healthier you in the future.

Join us on Wednesdays for group practice to move with ease for a life time:
  • Fall session will be from 9/16 – 12/16.
  • Intention for session: offer guidance for building foundation for a daily practice for moving with ease and inner core strength.
  • Goal: encourage practice of walking for wellness.

Each class offers:
  • Guided imagery to set intention for yourself
  • Opportunity to feel connected with self and elements of nature
  • Scientific evidence based exercises to move with ease, modify pain and gain strength
  • Practice of restorative yoga poses for restoring balance in the central nervous system

New participants are welcome.  No prior experience of yoga required.

Cost of classes
Prepay for entire session consisting of 12 classes: $144
Drop in rate is $15.00 per class.

Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is a Dharma Center dedicated to cultivating compassion and wisdom. Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we provide teachings and practices in the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer meditation and a wide-range of Buddhist and secular programs as well as other basic life improvement classes. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco.
