Thanksgiving Meditation

Thursday – Saturday
November 27 – 29, 2014
9:00am – 5:00pm
Ocean of Compassion Buddhist Center will be open during the Thanksgiving holiday for individual silent meditation.  Please visit us to escape from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and experience an environment of peace and quiet.

This opportunity is appropriate for both casual and experienced meditators:
  • You can pick up a handout and follow a self-guided meditation. We will offer suggestions for calming and analytical meditations, such as meditation on the breath, or loving kindness meditation.
  • If you already have an established meditation practice you may benefit from the conducive environment of our Dharma center.
  • Please keep conversations to a minimum to maintain a calm and quiet experience for everybody.

Everybody is welcome to attend!

Donations are appreciated.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe meditating, Delhi, 1975
"Meditation is the right medicine for the uncontrolled, undisciplined mind. Meditation is the way to perfect satisfaction. The uncontrolled mind is by nature sick; dissatisfaction is a form of mental illness. What’s the right antidote to that? It’s knowledge-wisdom; understanding the nature of psychological phenomena; knowing how the internal world functions."
— Lama Thubten Yeshe
