FUNDRAISER: WORK A DAY FOR THE CENTER, OCTOBER 1-25, 2014

“Let us thrive, not just survive.”
Between now and October 25, our community members are being asked to “work a day for the Center” and donate a day’s pay or a portion of a day’s pay to Ocean of Compassion.

  • Our Center is funded 100% by memberships and donations.
  • We do not receive external support in the form of grants or other funding.
  • Even with the generosity of our community and persistent efforts to reduce expenses, we have operated at a deficit in five out of eight months this year to date.

  • Teacher offerings, rent, utilities, insurance, and supplies
  • We  are operated solely by volunteers and only provide small offerings to our teachers.

Why Work a Day for Ocean of Compassion?
  • To continue the support of our teachers and the maintenance of our diverse class schedule in the Ocean of Compassion facility
  • So that we can enhance our wellness and other programs, with additional promotions so that more people are familiar with our Center

  • Simply donate a day’s pay before October 25 via cash, check, or credit card at the Center or via our online payment method.  No special notation is required.

Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is a Dharma Center dedicated to cultivating compassion and wisdom. Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we provide teachings and practices in the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer meditation and a wide-range of Buddhist and secular programs as well as other basic life improvement classes. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco.
