Perspective of Tibetan Medicine
with Dr. Yangdron Kalzang, Menpa of Tibetan Medicine

This will be a hands-on workshop led by longtime Tibetan medicine practitioner in the Bay Area, Dr. Yangdron Kalzang. She will offer guidance specifically for women. We’ll be serving scones and Dr. Kalzang will bring special Tibetan herbal teas.
Dr. Kalzang will also share simple home remedy recipes and introduce techniques to help address the common health concerns of women. The program will be in-person only. About Dr. Yangdron Kalzang:
Menpa Yangdron Kalzang is the founder and Director of the Kunde Institute, a Center of Tibetan Wellness and Healing in Daly City. Menpa (doctor in Tibetan) Kalzang earned her Tibetan Medicine Degree from the Tibetan Medical University in Lhasa, Tibet and her Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, Santa Cruz. A California licensed acupuncturist, she helped develop the curriculum for the Shang Shung Institute School of Tibetan Medicine in Massachusetts. Menpa Kalzang has taught Tibetan Medicine in a variety of settings including the University of California, San Francisco and Stanford University.

Registration requested. (email the office if you can [email protected] to let us know you are coming). The suggested donation is $20. Bring cash or a check if you can. No one is ever turned away for a lack of funds.
We offer all Dharma teachings and center events on a “dana” basis. This means we’re grateful for your generosity but there is no required cost to attend and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Suggested donation amounts are provided, and we welcome you to offer what you can to help us sustain our programming and make the dharma and events like this possible. And of course, ordained sangha (ordained nuns and monks) are always welcome free of charge.
