Creating Tse Chen Ling
Ven. Robina Courtin Interviews the Founders of TCL
Ven. Carol Corradi and Ven. Amy Miller
|
In 1990, two truth-seeking American women met in Dharamsala, India, where they attended His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s teachings. Already inspired by Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s talks on how to eradicate dissatisfaction and achieve lasting happiness they each felt energized to find a way to share the Buddha’s teachings with others. Together they shared a vision to start a Buddhist Center in San Francisco. Tse Chen Ling Center began with the support of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and his Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), with Ven. Carol returning to San Francisco to open the Center and Ven. Amy staying in India and Nepal, supporting Tse Chen Ling from afar with retreat and practice.
Join Ven. Carol and Ven. Amy to hear their origin stories: how they ended up in Dharamsala, met each other, and how Tse Chen Ling came into being. With Ven. Robina Courtin as our special guest moderator, they’ll share stories of the Center through the years. There will be an opportunity for Q&A in this Zoom session.
