Winter Wellness:
|
Led by longtime Tibetan medicine practitioner in the Bay Area, Dr. Yangdron Kalzang will offer guidance on healthy eating and prevention during the holiday season. As we move into a time of rich foods and frequent gatherings, Dr. Kalzang will share practical ways to maintain balance and support digestion.
Along with freshly baked scones by our Center Director, Ven. Carol Corradi, Dr. Kalzang will serve special Tibetan herbal teas. She will discuss how to handle multiple parties and heavy foods with ease and comfort during the holiday season.
Dr. Kalzang will also share simple home remedy recipes and introduce commonly used pomegranate formulas to help address winter and holiday health concerns such as arthritis, colds and flu, or “cold kidney" syndromes.
The program will be in-person only. For more details on the theory of Tibetan medicine, one of the world’s oldest healing traditions, see this link: https://www.kundewellness.org/about-tibetan-medicine.html

We offer all Dharma teachings and center events on a “dana” basis. This means we’re grateful for your generosity but there is no required cost to attend and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Suggested donation amounts are provided, and we welcome you to offer what you can to help us sustain our programming and make the dharma and events like this possible. And of course, ordained sangha (ordained nuns and monks) are always welcome free of charge.
