Lhabab Düchen

Lhabab Düchen, one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar, takes place this year on Friday, November 22.

Lhabab Düchen celebrates when Lord Buddha actually descended from the God Realm of Thirty-Three after teaching his mother and the gods living there Dharma for several months. As a multiplying day, karmic results of actions on this day are multiplied 100 million times (see more here).

On this auspicious day, Tse Chen Ling will providing a number of activities in which all are welcome to accumulate benefit for all sentient beings.

​Schedule UPDATE:
  • Sunrise: Eight Mahayana Precepts - At home practice
  • 9am - 10:15am:  Sutra Reading and Prayers ​
    • Via Zoom Only
  • 11am: Pet Blessing with Geshe Dakpa
    • Geshe-la will share the story of Lhabab Duchen with translation by Ven. Steve and then recite precious mantras for the blessing.
    • Gather your pets near the screen so they can hear the mantras and receive blessings​.

Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies is a Dharma Center dedicated to cultivating compassion and wisdom.
