Don is the resident teacher at Thubten Norbu Ling in New Mexico. He began his Buddhist studies in 1993, taking many classes at Tse Chen Ling Center here in San Francisco.
Don completed the FPMT Masters Program of Buddhist Studies at Lama Tsongkhapa Institute in Italy.
He has received teachings from many esteemed and precious lamas in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Ribur Rinpoche, Choden Rinpoche and Khensur Jampa Tegchok.
Geshe Dakpa will not be at Lama Chopa Tsog tonight. Tsog will be led by the TCL sangha. Geshe Dakpa will resume teaching on Wednesday April 20th.
Just a reminder: Geshe Dakpa arrives home on Friday 2/12/16! Join us at SFO International Terminal at 10:15am to welcome him home.
Also, the scheduled Lama Chopa Tsog with 100K tsog offerings for Lama Zopa Rinpoche scheduled for 7pm on Wednesday 2/10/16 has been changed to 9am that day. This will be followed by Ksitigarbha Practice from 11am-12pm instead of the previously scheduled time of 5pm-6pm.
We’re only a month away from our Ksitigarbha deadline of February 1st. We need your help to get all those mantras done! We’ve added an additional group practice day to our calendar (Sundays from 11am-12pm) and changed the time on our Wednesday group practice from 7pm-8pm. Hope you can join us!
There are still raffle tickets available for our Holiday raffle, the proceeds of which will help finance the Tengyur readings at Sera Jey (part of the earthquake practices Lama Zopa has requested). The tickets are $5 each and the drawing will be after tsog on January 19th. You don’t need to be present to win. If you’d like to purchase tickets but can’t make it to the center, send an email to: email@example.com and we’ll make sure you’re entered into the raffle.
Wishing all our friends and members a happy, healthy and joyous new year!!
