Getting Started: Basic Buddhist Rituals

In this fun interactive workshop you’ll find out how to set up an altar, offer waterbowls, learn basic temple (gompa) etiquette and how to do daily practices recommended by Lama Zopa Rinpoche. You’ll learn the mandala offering with mudra representing offering an entire universe done at most Buddhist classes and more. Buddhist rituals add depth to our practice which will be explained in the workshop. This class is designed for beginner and intermediate student.

This course is an in depth study of Lama Tsongkhapa’s brilliant middle-length commentary of the the stages of the path to enlightenment covering all the main topics presented by the Buddha in the sutras such as precious human rebirth, the three scopes, impermanence, past and future lives, refuge, karma, the four noble truths, emptiness and bodhicitta.
