“Bodhicitta” with Ven. Rene Feusi
Venerable René Feusi, has been trained in the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism in the experiential lineage of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. He has been sharing this experiential approach for the past 23 years. He helps students get an intuition of their own inner potential and inspires them to become meditators themselves.
Venerable René was born in Switzerland. He first encountered Buddhism at the age of 20, when he attended the annual November course at Kopan Monastery in Nepal. 
Since then Venerable René has continued to study, teach and guide students in meditation and retreats worldwide, and was the resident teacher at the Vajrapani Institute from 2002 to 2008.

TIBETAN MEDICINE, DIABETES & HEART DISEASE: AN EVENING OF GOOD   HEALTH   WITH DR. NAMGYAL QUSAR 

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 7, 2017     7PM-9PM

Dr. Namgyal Qusar is an established clinical practitioner of Tibetan Medicine, a teacher and researcher. He graduated from Dharamsala Ment-tsee-khang College in 1987 with the Kachupa Degree (equivalent to MS) and in 1997 with a Menrampa Degree (equivalent to MD).

He started his career as a researcher at the Research and Development Department of Men-tsee-khang in 1987 and later held the post of Deputy Director of Research & Development Department at Men-tsee-khang until 1999. He has been a visiting professor of Tibetan medicine at the Norbulingka Academy of Tibetan Culture in Dharamsala since 2001 and is the Founder and Director of the Qusar Tibetan Healing Centre in Dharamsala.

He designed a Tibetan Medicine Clinical Trial Protocol on Non-Insulin Dependent

Diabetes Mellitus for the Research and Development Department in Dharamsala. He also contributed to the Research Paper on Weight reduction in patients with coronary artery disease: Comparison of Traditional Tibetan Medicine and Western diet that was published in International Journal of Cardiology in 2013.

Through practical exercises you will translate your learning into action that will shift your outlook of yourself and actions in the world.
Inspired by the Dalai Lama’s Mind & Life Dialogues, this course aims to delve deeper to bridge the gap between analytical thinking and contemplative understanding to provide a holistic sense of yourself and tap into your potential.
This course is for anyone seeking positive personal and social change. You will be inspired through group exercises and discussions, along with extensive study and audio material, to challenge your own viewpoint and leave with the tools to solve everyday problems.
You must pre-register in order to receive the PDF of the course materials in advance of the class.
 
Fee: $75 (includes all course materials and lunch at TCL.)

Venerable Tenzin Chogkyi became interested in meditation after reading “Be Here Now” an Autobiography of a Yogi in the early 1970s.  In late 1991, she became co-director of Vajrapani Institute in California. In 1995, she began working at FPMT International Office, first as co-director and then later as center services coordinator. Since 2008, she has been teaching at various centers world wide. Most recently, she was the resident teacher at Gendun Drugpa center in Canada and is now resident teacher at Vajrapani Institute.
